forgot to tell you that im going on holiday but will be back in 2 weeks...so not blog for 2 weeks sorry

Nice Carp

Was out today fishing for....anything! - at magiscroft fishery

and it was a very slow start to carp...infact none....plenty of roach tho

we then decided to move to the birches...

and i was asking the anglers have they caught anything and one said they had caught 1 carp...

so i got all my stuff and went to get my peg...

and started fishing wish a simple crystal waggler...

and i caught alot of nice roach but apart from that i couldnt get past the roach!

so i changed my rig...

i kept the crystal waggler and put on a quick stop hook with a driller halibut pellet on it

cast right under the tree and got a take...but it snapped of with my float aswell...

so set it up again...and another take managed to get it in...

and 3 more after that about 3lbs upwards but im only guessing and aint great with weights...

Course Fishing Sunday

At i think i might try some method feeding!

Wrasse

Decided i am going to do some Wrasse fishing soon...
Should be fun!
Been wanting to wrasse fish for a while!

New Drop Net

Been waiting on my drop net to arrive for a few days...
And it arrived this morning...
Will let you know how i get on...
Hopfully some nice big crab and maybe something different!

Tuesday Night Surprise

Was bored of Tuesday night so went to a place for some crabbing as i had bought a new bait pot for crabbing...

Stuck a mackerel head init and went and set up my rod...

Went back to check it...

Only to see a fish trying to get to the mackerel head....

But i managed to spook it...

But a hour later he appeared again...

And i caught him...

Well for about 3 minutes then it got off...

It was about 5 or 6 pound and was a lesser spotted dogfish! 

To Start Off

Last saturday we had a discussion in work about going fishing...
Then on Sunday all three of us went fishing at Magiscroft Fishery...

And it was stunning weather!

although a bit two warm to catch so much...

The day started with me catching a few small carp...Perch and Roach.
But i seen a mirror carp of about 7 or 8 pound at the surface...went for it but managed to scare it :(

later in the afternoon i went to the island pond and caught a few small silvers.

After that i took a walk around and had a wee chat to some of the anglers and one nice guy on the small birches...and we were talking about how you could see nearly all the fish on the pond 'Sun-bathing' it was an amazing sight...!

ended up moving down to the small birches where i had to adjust float rig so the hook was as close to the float as the fish were near the surface...!

I was thinking that they would not be feeding but after catapulting a bunch of maggots out i caught my blue orfe of 0.9lbs!

Was a really good day and we all caught!
